    • 1817, L. I. Thenard, The Quarterly Journal of Science and the Arts, volume II, page 256:
      It enters immediately, but superficially, upon the important subject of attraction, which is considered as influencing the cohæsion and form of bodies, and afterwards, under the title of Affinity, as relating to their composition.
