  1. A verbal command given usually to the bowman of a canoe or raft. It means to place the paddle in the water on the right side parallel to the boat and pull it towards the boat. This is a maneuver to move the front of the boat to the right side.
    When we get to the bottom of the rapids, draw right to avoid the sweepers.
