Etymology

From a mishearing of an unusually-pronounced 動啊／动啊 (dòng a, “to bounce”, literally “to move”), a phrase spoken by Jackie Chan in Bawang Shampoo's advertisement.

當我第一次知道要拍洗髮水廣告的時候，其實我是拒絕的。因為我覺得，你不能叫我拍我就馬上去拍，第一我要試一下，我又不想說，一個廣告拍完後加上好多特技，頭髮動啊，很黑，很亮，很柔，結果觀眾出來一定會罵我，根本沒有這種頭髮，證明上面這個是假的。 [MSC, trad.]

At first when I was told to star in the shampoo commercial, actually I was reluctant. Because I thought that, you can't ask me for the commercial immediately. First, I have to try myself. I don't want to say that after adding lots of effects to the commercial, my hair bounces, (becomes) very dark, very shiny, very smooth, and then at the end the viewers will criticize me, saying that there is no such kind of hair, it proves that the above is fake.
