kill oneself (third-person singular simple present kills oneself, present participle killing oneself, simple past and past participle killed oneself)

1. Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see kill,‎ oneself.

   You were stupid to try climbing up there. You might have killed yourself.

2. (informal) To exert oneself to an excessive degree.

   Don't kill yourself raking the leaves now; we're due for a windstorm tonight.

   We just about killed ourselves laughing.
