kleepima
Estonian edit
Etymology edit
From German kleben (“to glue, to stick”). The loan has adapted into consonant gradation, the weak grade forms of the verb (kleebin etc.) correspond directly to the source language. It's also possible that the stem kleep- was borrowed earlier (from German Kleb-, seen in e.g. the compound Klebstoff (“adhesive”)), and this term was then later derived from that stem.
