spurgewort
English edit
Etymology edit
Noun edit
spurgewort (plural spurgeworts)
- Any euphorbiaceous plant.
- 1846-1853, John Lindley, The Vegetable Kingdom
- There seems to be nothing in Putranjiva to distinguish it from a drupaceous Spurgewort. In general the structure of Spurgeworts is very uniform, and upon the whole there are few extensive Orders in which it is less liable to exceptions.
- 1846-1853, John Lindley, The Vegetable Kingdom
