    • 1912, “Charing Cross”, in British Esperantist, volume 8, page 3:
      Oni progresas bone, kaj post la leciono oni kune babiladas dum tetrinkado en apuda teejo.
      Good progress is made, and after the lesson we enjoy a chat together for a while we drink tea in a nearby teahouse.
    • 1915, The Esperanto Monthly, volume 3, page 25:
      Ĝi plie havas teejojn, koncertejojn, teatraĵejojn; ofte ankaŭ glitveturilejojn, por radkurado kaj multajn aliajn distraĵojn por riĉaj kaj neriĉaj vizitantoj.
      It moreover has teahouses, concert halls, theatres; often also skating rinks for roller skating and many other diversions for rich and not rich visitors.
