    • 1953, The Journal of the American Dental Association, volume 47, page 379:
      The formative elements of cartilage, bone cementum and dentin in the thyroprival state maintained a depressed activity leading to the obliteration of the marrow spaces and a narrowing of the periodontal and pulpal lumens.
