     De seguro que ellos no habrían puesto fin al desbarajuste sin el apoyo de un joven y bizarro oficial que cruzó de pronto por en medio de la turba, desnudó la tizona, que era de fina hoja de Toledo, y arremetió a cintarazos a los alborotadores [...].

     Convinced that they wouldn't have put an end to the mess without the help of a young man and bizarre official who made his way through the mob, he unsheathed the sword, which was made of fine Toledo steel, and charged at the troublemakers with the blunt side of it.
