1. (US, law) A potential juror who appears in court for jury selection.

     The court did not know whether personal voir dire would entail the same dangers of inducing bias as to the current procedures for voir dire, which is usually conducted in open court with the entire jury panel present and each juror given the opportunity to observe the examination of other venirepersons.
