Hungarian edit

Etymology edit

From viszonthallás (hearing again/back) +‎ -ra (on, onto, here “for”; sublative case suffix), from the verb viszonthall (to hear again, hear back) +‎ -ás (noun-forming suffix), from viszont- (mutually; again) +‎ hall (to hear).

Coined in analogy with viszontlátásra. Literally, it could be translated as “till we hear each other again” or (more loosely) as “hear you later”. For a similar formation, compare Icelandic heyrumst or German auf Wiederhören
