Numeral edit
שתיים / שְׁתַּיִם • (shtáyim) (Biblical Hebrew pausal form שְׁתָּיִם)
Usage notes edit
- שְׁתַּיִם is a rare example of a Hebrew word with an initial consonant cluster (i.e. with a sh'va nakh on the first letter). Because of this, the שׁ is not doubled when the definite article הַ־ (ha-) is added: הַשְׁתַּיִם (hashtáyim).
