Sino-Vietnamese word from 三位一體, composed of 三位 (“three ranks”) and 一體 (“one body”). Compare Chinese 三位一體／三位一体 (sānwèiyītǐ), Japanese 三位一体 (Sanmi Ittai), Korean 삼위일체 (Samwiilche). Also Japanese 三神一体 (Sanshin Ittai, Tam Thần Nhất Thể).
