Turkish edit

Etymology edit

From Ottoman Turkish طاغلمق (dağılmak), from Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (tağıl-, to be scattered, to spread), passive form of Proto-Turkic *dar- (to go apart, scatter, spread).[1] The reason of -/r/- to -/ğ/- assimilation is unknown. Compare darmadağın (something in complete disarray), see also dağıtmak.
