- (computing, sometimes proscribed) Multiplying the unit to which it is attached by 230 or 1,073,741,824.
- Synonym: gibi-
- (slang) Augmenting an adjective; intensely, extremely, or to an exceptionally high degree.
- (Internet slang, originally 4chan) Used to augment nouns; denoting an invididual who is a paragon of something.
Usage notes edit
- In computing, meaning is ambiguous between 109 = 1,000,000,000 and 230 = 1,073,741,824. For precision, gibi- specifically means the binary 230; see binary prefix for discussion.
