  1. to punch
    Han slog till honom

  2. to strike (act suddenly, often of some kind of attack)
    Tjuvarna slog till vid midnatt
    The thieves struck at midnight
    Vi slog till mot fiendens bas
    We attacked the enemy's base
  3. to crack down on, to raid (strike against, especially criminal activity)
    Polisen slog till mot tjuvarnas tillhåll
    The police raided (implied) the thieves' hideout
  4. to (quickly) go for (something) ("strike on" something)
    När priset hade gått ner lite så slog jag till
    When the price had dropped a bit, I went ahead (and bought) / struck
