  1. (intransitive) to go, to move through space
    Yajki ka itechan pal kita ne imiakwan
    She/he went to his town to see her/his family
    Nemi pal niawi nikpanultia muchi tey ne timunekit pal ne shupan
    I have to go to move everything we will need for the rainy season
  2. (auxiliary) to be going to (used to indicate the future)
    Ashan niu-ninaka ka nuchan ika nikukuya
    Today I'm going to stay home because I'm sick

Usage notes edit

  • In informal speech, the auxiliary verb yawi to indicate periphrastic future often takes the shortened form yu- conjugated for the corresponding person with no plural markers.
