  1. (colloquial) free, free of charge, gratis, for nothing (without paying)
    Το αμάξι του ήταν παλιό και μου το ’δωσε τζάμπα.
    To amáxi tou ítan palió kai mou to ’dose tzámpa.
    His car was old and he gave it to me for free.
  2. (colloquial) for next to nothing, for a song (cheaply, at a very cheap price)
    Αυτό το πουκάμισο το αγόρασα τζάμπα στις προσφορές.
    Aftó to poukámiso to agórasa tzámpa stis prosforés.
    I bought this shirt for next to nothing in the sales.
  3. (colloquial) in vain, for nothing (for no reason, wastefully, or pointlessly)
