Etymology edit

From Proto-Finno-Ugric *eje/*üje. Cognates include Hungarian éj, Finnish , Estonian öö, Western Mansi [script needed] () [script needed] (jiγ) [script needed] (ī) and Eastern Mansi [script needed] (ji).[1] Replaced in Northern Mansi by э̄т (è̄t).
