Etymology

Derived from Persian بخش (baxš, “lot, portion, section”). Cognate with Turkish bağışlamak.

Verb

بَغِشْلاماق (bağïšlāmāq) (third-person singular aorist بَغِشْلارْ (bağïšlār))

1. (transitive) to give, gift, donate

   اُلْ مَنكا اَتْ بغِشْلادىِ ― Ol maŋā at bağïšlādï̄. ― He gifted me a horse.
