1. (intransitive, transitive) to bake

   ܠܲܚܡܝܼ ܝܠܹܗ ܒܸܦܝܵܝܵܐ ܓܵܘ ܬܲܢܘܼܪܵܐ. ― laḥmī ìlēh bipyāyā gāw tanūrā. ― My bread is baking in the oven.

   ܟܹܐ ܡܲܚܸܒ ܝܵܦܹܐ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ. ― kē maḥḥib yāpē laḥmā. ― He loves baking bread.

   ܒܸܬ ܝܵܦܲܚ ܬܠܵܬ݂ܵܐ ܟܲܥܟܹ̈ܐ ܩܵܐ ܥܹܐܕ݂ܵܐ. ― bit yāpaḥ tlāṯā kaˁkē qā ˁēḏā. ― We will bake three cakes for the feast.

     īnā mulyiṣ lēh ilhōn rābā; hal d-dˁīr lhōn lkislēh w-ˁḇīr lhōn l-baytēh. ˁḇīḏ lēh ilhōn ārḥūṯā, wpē lēh paṭīrē, w-ḵīl lhōn.

     But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
