Tool noun derived from ܩܵܦܹܚ (qāpēḥ, to strike repeatedly). Coined by Odisho Malko Gewargis and first published in a 2018 dictionary, as a substitute for the more common Persianism ܬܸܪܡܸܣ (tirmis).
