Etymology edit

Inherited from Sanskrit *भोर (bhora), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *bʰawras (dawn). Cognate with Punjabi ਭੋਰ (bhor), Gujarati ભોર (bhor), Maithili 𑂦𑂷𑂩 (bhor), Bengali ভোর (bhōr), Odia ଭୋର (bhorô). Probably related to भोलानाथ (bholānāth, Lord Shiva as husband of Ushas, goddess of dawn).
