Etymology edit

Borrowed from Classical Persian خوش (xʷuš, xʷaš), which is from Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (xwš /⁠xwaš⁠/, pleasant, sweet, nice). Cognate with Baluchi وش and Turkish hoş. Compare Hindustani ख़ुश / خوش (xuś). Related to খুশি (khuśi), খুশবু (khuśbu).
