Etymology edit

From earlier দুলহা (dulha), most likely borrowed from Hindi दूल्हा (dūlhā), from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀤𑀼𑀮𑁆𑀮𑀳 (dullaha), ultimately from Sanskrit दुर्लभक (durlabhaka, literally "hard to attain or gain"), from दुर्- (dur-, hardly) + लभक (labhaka, attained), itself a compound of the root लभ् (labh, to gain, attain) + -क (-ka, adjectival suffix).
