  1. (historical) Hamgyong, a former province of northeastern Korea under the Joseon dynasty, now divided into North Korea's North and South Hamgyong provinces.
  2. The Hamgyong Mountains, a mountain range between the north coast of the East Korea Bay and the Kaema Highlands which runs through these two provinces.
