Etymology 1 edit

현자(賢者) (hyeonja) +‎ 타임 (taim), calque of Japanese 賢者タイム (kenja taimu, post-nut clarity).

Noun edit

현자타임 (hyeonjataim)

  1. (slang, vulgar) post-nut clarity

Etymology 2 edit

A non-vulgar reanalysis of the above as an abbreviation of 현실(現實) 자각(自覺) 타임 (hyeonsil jagak taim, reality perception moment).

The new interpretation retains a metaphoric extension of the original meaning, but in a non-sexual way. Many Koreans are not aware of the original etymology, and the word has appeared in TV programs for general audiences.
