Cognate with Chuvash хӑт (hăt), Karakhanid قُتْ (qut), Turkish kut, Uzbek қут (qut), Bashkir ҡот (qot), Kazakh құт (qūt), Kyrgyz кут (kut), Shor қут (qut), Khakas хут (xut), Tuvan кут (kut), Dolgan кут (kut), Yakut кут (kut). Compare also Mongolian хутаг (xutag) and Manchu ᡥᡠᡨᡠᡵᡳ (huturi), Turkic borrowings.
