Ukrainian semisoft, usually feminine nouns, normally ending in -а in the nominative singular and -і in the nominative plural. The stem ends in a hushing consonant (-ш, -ж, -ч or -щ). This is traditionally considered to belong to the first declension. This noun is stressed according to accent pattern d (see Template:uk-ndecl).
