L'Anse Amour
English edit
Etymology edit
Derived from the modification and corruption of French Pointe aux Mortes, derived in turn from pointe (“point”) and the plural form of mort (“dead man”). The element pointe was replaced by anse (“cove, small bay”) while mortes was corrupted to amour (“love”).
