Can уготовить also be consedered a perfective æquivalent of this verb on a par with приготовить? The uſer hight Bogorm converſation 16:38, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- To me уготовить sounds the same as подготовить or приготовить, except that подготовить/приготовить are the normal perfectives and I think уготовить is antiquated or obsolete. Хозяин уготовил мне большой сюрприз. —Stephen 18:00, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- It can still be used but with this sense - prepare something surprising, often unpleasantly surprising or fatal, e.g. уготовить вечные мучения. --Anatoli 19:14, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
