Talk:厚生労働大臣

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
This is 厚生 "(public) welfare" + 労働 "labor" + 大臣 "minister" which translates as Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. I know we often have professions but this isn't really a profession (it's just one person's temporary position) and it's not a universal governmental position like foreign minister. On the other hand we have metsätalousministeri. In this section I'd also like to include 国土交通大臣, or 国土 "land" + 交通 "transport" + 大臣 "minister," because the reasoning is the same. --Haplology (talk) 13:24, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- My sense is delete. Any ministry name minus the 省 (shō, “ministry”) part can take 大臣 (daijin, “minister”). QED, SOP. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 19:17, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
