Originally this entry listed "しまがいじん" (shimagaijin) as the reading, but I changed it to とうがいじん (tōgaijin), based on what I recall. Nihon Kokugo Daijiten only lists とうがい (tōgai) as the reading of 島外. I'm happy to be corrected with quotes. Whym (talk) 12:26, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Shimagaijin looks like a blend of 島人 shimanchu and 外人 gaijin. It might worth rfv for attestation, though. Whym (talk) 23:50, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
