Two distinct computing senses edit

I just want to mention that the two computing senses are distinct. The first one is like a flag or switch, a varying value that can be set; and the second one is something you might decorate a method or property with, e.g. a special code item that indicates that something is obsolete. There is yet another computing sense, but I doubt it meets CFI because it's specific to the ZX Spectrum computer, which has a very unusual (memory-saving) screen display: the underlying pixels, or bitmap, are separate from the colour data, called "attributes" — this sometimes leads to weird colour clash on screen. Just thought I'd mention. Equinox 22:08, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Looks like I actually added that too at some point. Equinox 02:09, 13 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
And I found a citation relating to IBM PCs, so it's broader than I thought. Equinox 04:05, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Swapped pronunciation links edit

Done Looks like someone swapped the pronunciation links for the verb and noun. Fixed now.

RfC discussion edit

The computing noun sense contains typos, uses jargon, making it unclear, and has an example that seems to be for an attributive usage ("attribute set", if there is such a term). — Paul G 14:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

No adjective section anymore. DCDuring TALK 15:56, 13 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
