Swedish quotes

@Robbie SWE, Algentem, Jonteemil, Knyȝt, LA2 Would someone like to translate the Swedish quotations (and check whether I put them under the right definitions, especially for the noun)? ←₰-→ Lingo ^Bingo _Dingo (talk) 12:38, 5 August 2019 (UTC)

@Lingo Bingo Dingo: I've tried to translate the quotes but the last one was quite hard since the formulation kan bliver icke ostraffad makes no sense to me. I mean kan (“may, can”) and bliver is the present tense of bliva (“become, get”). To me the formulations literally translates to may gets/becomes not unpunished. It makes no sense to me. I mean, I can just use the English Bible version but then it wouldn't be an English translation of the Swedish text, just an English and a Swedish translation of the same text in Ancient Greek. I guess it's some kind of dated Swedish I just don't know of.Jonteemil (talk) 18:42, 5 August 2019 (UTC)

@Jonteemil Thank you. You are correct to suppose that the translation is in the first place a translation of the Swedish, but it is okay to sometimes use a cheat sheet, so I've added the missing part from English translations. Swedish synonym

Yeah, fika-rast. Fika-paus is another way to say it. Translated it would become something like "coffee break" but the definition of the word "fika" doesn't inherently include "coffee." "Fika" is a word to describe the enjoyment of pastries and drinks with people. The word in and of itself has nothing to do with breaks. 62.181.233.140 14:07, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
