Despite LW's attempt to make it less-than-obvious, this Spanish phrase which translates to "smelting furnace" denotes... you guessed it, a smelting furnace. SOP. - -sche (discuss) 18:11, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Keep. This is much more common that its one-word synonym esmelter, so I would keep it by a tentative generalized WT:COALMINE-like argument. Matthias Buchmeier (talk) 18:54, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Is it not like English smelting furnace, where furnace is the actual term and smelting just serves to disambiguate outside the context of smelting? --WikiTiki89 19:04, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- Delete. There are many words with more common multi-word synonyms. I’d find it better to add * horno de fundición
more common
as a synonym. — Ungoliant (Falai) 20:06, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
- It practically translates to "smelting oven" given the simplicity of the word horno. It also happens to be what you call such a furnace. And it's not just an oven made out of iron and carbon alloy. I don't think any of these arguments are strong enough justification for keeping, but I have a hard time accepting its removal as an appropriate course of action. DAVilla 03:40, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- Delete. Matthias, have fun citing hornodefundición to back up the ludicrous COALMINE argument. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 06:08, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
