@Vahagn Petrosyan: Team Semitica must disappoint the Iran men and notes this word has been treated extensively by David Boyaner in 2016 as an Akkadism: Iranica mutuata I, prefixed from a term cognate to Arabic سَكَنَ (sakana), well-known. It explains the variant forms in Armenian, not as in ատեան (atean) but from Iranian, revising the Pehlevi transcription (p. 96), also including the allegedly unexplained byforms, and an Armenian word you have not listed, patšir, from the equivalent to سَطْر (saṭr) instead. He also argues convincingly its being a foreign word in Iranian e.g. Sogdian. Fay Freak (talk) 19:03, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Fay Freak: Thanks for pointing me to this article. I will use when I decide to clean up պատճէն (patčēn) or to create պատշիր (patšir). --Vahag (talk) 05:13, 25 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
