- Which one? The Wikipedia article actually conflates three senses, if you compare against the OED entry: (1) the ecclesiastical rites of the dead, (2) a singer at such a rite, (3) a sycophant or moocher. --EncycloPetey (talk) 04:44, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
