Alt form of sol? edit

Webster 1913 supplement suggests that this can also be a (dated?) alternative form of sol in the chemical sense, i.e. a colloid in which a solid is dispersed in a liquid. Hard to attest. Equinox 19:29, 3 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Architecture edit

There seems to be an architectural sense: something that's also called a solepiece. Unsure what it is. Equinox 16:03, 14 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

exclusive edit

Of or relating to only one individual or group; exclusive: She took sole command of the ship.

Why this ordering? edit

The first 3 meaning are all obsolete or dialectal, why not have the main meanings first?

I agree. I'll change it. The style guide says this reordering is appropriate, at least for definitions that have the same etymology. - excarnateSojourner (talk|contrib) 04:59, 12 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
