Is this word obsolete? edit
I had to spell this word in a spelling bee. The only citations of it I have found in books are in books published in the late 19th century. I had never heard of the word before my spelling bee, and I misspelled it. So, I was wondering - is this word obsolete or is it still used in the modern day?
