  1. (historical) A late Middle Ages Jewish European dancehall

      Especially in the Rhineland, hundreds of men and women danced to utter exhaustion. Lasting until the beginning of the fifteenth century, this epidemic carried over into the Jewish ghettos, where a Tanzhaus was found.
