Template:periodic table edit

Either this should be reduced, put in a box, and simplified. Or just deleted. Only used in one entry, and make the entry just about impossible to read. Mglovesfun (talk) 16:06, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I vote for delete, and substitute with a picture, such as this one. —Internoob (DiscCont) 17:37, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Delete Why aren't WP links used for this? DCDuring TALK 19:28, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Moving to RFD, then. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:23, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I originally listed this at RFC, where two users wanted to deleted it (discussion). Delete, or move back to RFC if it eventually passes. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:26, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Delete. A picture would suffice. —Internoob (DiscCont) 21:44, 10 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Weak keep. While it can be argued that it's encyclopedia material, it does essentially function as a list template, just a bit less convenient in size. If it's made collapsible it can be added to a 'See also' section quite easily. —CodeCat 22:40, 12 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Weak keep. I think it's OK for See also sections. We could remove all the cruft below the actual table, or make it collapsible. --Bequw τ 20:39, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Keep, but let’s make it language customizable. This could be very useful in the header of foreign language versions of Category:Chemical elements. —Robin 14:02, 24 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
How does {{periodic table/en}} look? Nadando 01:46, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
A good start, but shouldn't the lanthanides and actinides also be translatable? —CodeCat 07:01, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • See periodic table for its problematic deployment. It simply takes too much visual space. I found an image to be a thumb, which becomes a legible (but not linkable) image when clicked on. The content of the template would make a good Appendix. Convert to Appendix and Delete. DCDuring TALK 19:16, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
It would be desirable if we could have thumb-sized versions of Wiktionary-native linkable tables, though wikilinks in image captions are almost as good. DCDuring TALK 19:28, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Note: There already is an appendix for this at Appendix:Chemical elements. --EncycloPetey 19:31, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Passes. Mglovesfun (talk) 15:48, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
