Redirects edit
Please do not create redirects between spellings. Wiktionary does not use redirects. See Wiktionary:Redirections. --EncycloPetey 18:51, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- "Měiguó", and "美国" are the same Chinese word. I don't see anything in the policy about Romanizations of words in non-Roman script. I think it is a different case than a spelling variation because "Měiguó" is not used by native speakers to communicate with each other. Kauffner 19:31, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I have reverted your edit, as the Romanian did, in fact, come from the Latin. The information you entered is already present in the Latin etymology, and is thus redundant. Any questions feel free to ask. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 05:16, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
