Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --EncycloPetey 01:38, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Interwiki links edit

Please do not add interwiki links when the target page does not exist. An interwiki looks like this [[pa:twelve]]. It creates a link to the page named "twelve" on the Panjabi Wiktionary. If that page exists, then the interwiki is OK. If that page does not exist, then the interwiki should not be included. --EncycloPetey 02:42, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

In some cases, you created a traget page, but in other cases you did not. As long as all the target pages do get created, that should be fine. However, note that we have a bot that adds/removes the interwikis automatically, so if they don't exist/do exist the bot will fix that later. --EncycloPetey 02:59, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Petey. This is my first day editing Wiktionary. It takes me a little bit more time to complete some of these edits, some of which I see you've already undone before I've completed an editing cycle. I don't have time to both learn how to edit and work upstream against admins. Best of luck with the project, Kirk (user page | talk page) 03:04, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
