Hi,

Please do not create nonstandard templates like that. {{LL.}} already exists, as do the others.

Please read our layout requirements before getting too far ahead, causing undue cleanup efforts.

Here is the standard welcome template, with helpful links...

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Connel MacKenzie 05:12, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Category names edit

They do get Capitalized, and this sort should always start with the language name: Category:Latvian indeclinable nouns Robert Ullmann 10:16, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I know they that they are being capitalized but I wanted to transclude the string from the template into the cat name and later maybe use try to use some template that capitalizes words. I tried to use span style="text-transform:capitalize;" but it broke the wikimarkup. Think the categories should be added separately?
SHI~~ I just had to change the word order! Miasma 10:25, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. FYI the template magic is {{UCFIRST:...}}. Not that you need it in this case. Also: we don't redirect category names from the main namespace, so those redirects will go away :-) Robert Ullmann 11:00, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm sure they will! :D hmmm I should prolly wiki up UCFIRST never heard of it before... Miasma 11:12, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

yeah thanks, I just found it.. In case you read this do you think it is redundant to create categories for every declension/conjugation? I'm starting to think it's too specific. Miasma 11:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Templates edit

Please move those to Template:new lvn (like Template:new en.)

Please ask for help on WT:GP, before getting mired too deeply. --Connel MacKenzie 21:40, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure... why is this? Is the name lvn taken, or something?Miasma 21:43, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Whoops sorry! It appears I accidentaly dedited the wrong template. Miasma 21:45, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
