- Their contender is the now 2,700 h.p. (the locomotive was earlier spoken of as 2,600 h.p.) prototype No. DP2, which incorporates an after-cooled and in other ways developed version of the V16 English Electric engine used in the 2,000 h.p. 1 Co-Co1 Type 4s, built into what is basically a "Deltic" Type 5 Co-Co body and framework.
