  1. (control theory) Applied to a kind of feedback control, or controller, that switches abruptly between two states.
  2. (baseball) Of a play, very close between being an out and being safe.

Usage notes edit

  • (baseball): usually used in the form bang-bang play, however sometimes the word 'play' can be omitted. For example, bang-bang at first base.
