  1. alright, OK (acknowleding a statement, often with dismissive or disinterested undertones)
    – Du har förstört mitt liv! – Jahapp.
    – You've ruined my life! – Alright.
  2. alright, OK (as a filler at the start of an utterance, acknowleding a situation)
Jahapp, tydligen är det dags att deklarera igen
Alright, apparently it's time to do the tax return again

Alright (with a fairly calm tone)! Apparently I have a driver's license now.

Usage notes edit

  • For a statement expressed in the negative or a contradicting piece of information, nähäpp or nähä sounds better.
  • Often though not always of something negative in (sense 2). A fairly calm "alright" might provide intuition.
