Etymology edit
From Ottoman Turkish مورارمق (morarmaḳ, “to become purple”),[1] from Ottoman Turkish مور (mor, “a violet color or dye, violet, purple”), either borrowed from Greek μούρο (moúro, “mulberry”), from Ancient Greek μόρον (móron, “black mulberry, blackberry”) or from Armenian մոռ (moṙ, “blackberry”),[2] morphologically mor + -ar + -tı.
