notice period (plural notice periods)

  1. (labour law) The time period between the receipt of the letter of dismissal and the last working day.

      The length of the notice period depends on the dirigente's seniority, and generally ranges from a minimum of six to a maximum of 12 months. The notice period starts running from the first day of the month following the notice of dismissal.
